Leading and Kerning

Kerning is a process used in Media where you can change the amount of space between the letters and words in a title. This means that you can bring them closer together or further apart. This can be done so that you can fit more onto the page by bringing them closer or it can create a sense of meaning and space if they are distanced further apart.
Here is an example of a word that
has had kerning applied to it.

Leading is the amount of space between the text vertically. This is important because it makes the text legible and it adds effect to the writing.
